Our Story

In 1987, I was a stay-at-home mother with an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit within me.

I watched in awe as dear friends around me made the sacrifice to put their own dreams on hold to chase their other deep calling—raising and creating a family. I wanted the same.

I equally admired my peers that ignored the noise of society’s expectations and timeline of women, and instead, broke down those limits to create space for themselves and other women in business. I wanted the same.

I found myself grappling with one deep and overwhelming question—Why can’t I have both?

So, that is precisely what I did.

From my tiny home office, a handful of clients, some fabric books, and our growing family I manifested a dream that has grown far beyond my original expectations, but still remains rooted in the purpose that started it all—Women. Women in business.

This year we celebrate 35 years in the design industry! A milestone that is both deeply humbling and incredible to personally fathom.

In those 35 years our company has grown from a working mom in my home office with a big dream, into 2 storefronts, 25 employees, an on-site repair center and complete fabrication workroom, a loyal office dog, and above all else—a staff predominantly made up of women and mothers, who just like me—wanted to have it all.

Pouring my heart and soul into my work has often been the only remedy amongst many storms over the years. Giving back, showing up, and bringing a sense of peace and ownership into my client's homes, for their homes, has become an unintentional trademark to the way I work.

Clients will return 20 years later, when trends have changed and they need something new, but they return not because we are the only option in the area, but because it is my mission to leave them with a feeling, a relationship, to curate a type of customer service that is getting harder and harder to find in professionals in the trades today.

I encourage you to stop by one of our showrooms! Our stellar team is eager and excited to assist you however you need, and trust that there is NO pressure. This is a process that we have honed over the years to make this investment in your home a smart, simple, and stylish one, one that will bring both function and form to your space for years to come.
